Croxteth Park St Mary's. I have moved to a Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless, i am getting a bit older and lugging heavy DLSR's around is a no no now. Got to admit i am very extremely impressed with the results of the X-T3.
Main Lodge. the entrance to Croxteth Park in West Derby Village the road took you to the Hall, in older days the gates were always closed. My grandfather was the gatekeeper in the early 1900,s, dad was born there, told me some stories of life then in the park and not all were good.
Croxteth Park Snow. Cold 19th November. Early for snow and cold, but a brisk walk with the dog.
November Snow. Muddy, Cold, but the dog does not care, if i am in a pair of soggy Y fronts and nothing else, he has got a fur coat fleece lined.
Croxteth Park Copper Beech. Croxteth Hall. Front Lawn, the main tree. Really stands out when the leaves are this color.
Croxteth Park Copper Beech 2. The previous Copper Beech was taken in May, this one is in September.
Fuji Color. Everything dying off now, winter is coming.
Walkers Path 2. The walkers path images were all taken on the same day, 2nd November 2025.
Walkers Path. Looking towards Croxteth Hall Lane, these photos are more for the people who use the paths in the fields, and would like a memory of them on the wall.
River Alt. Standing on the bridge behind Croxteth Hall.
River Alt 2. Standing on the bridge behind Croxteth Hall.
Storm Trees. There are many dead trees in the wooded areas of Croxteth Park. To cut them down would be very expensive for the council, Croxteth Park has limited funds.
X-T3 Walk. A very popular walk no matter what time of year, always better with the dog.
Croxteth Park Shade.. A seat in the shade for a hot day.
Croxteth Park Crossroads. The walk of choice of parents with kids at the moment, with calf's in the bull field.
Autumn Carpet. Seems early this year (2025) the carpet of gold, yellow and orange leaves are with us.
Croxteth Park Miley. Crossroads Woman in Red.
Croxteth Park Coachyard. The canopy is the Coach wash, nice place to walk around, it is virtually untouched from the years gone by. Nearly forgot, this was filmed in Peaky Blinders, remember the goldfish in the horse trough.
Queen Anne Wing. This part of the Hall had a devastating fire in the 1950's, great restoration accomplished.
Very Old. This part of Croxteth Hall, is to the left of the security gatehouse. it is the first, oldest build of the hall, dated to the reign of Elizabeth 1. Just a bit of history for people looking through the images.
Security Entrance. Not easy to get a photo now with no cars/vans etc parked here.
Finch Lodge. The dwelling before the Hall, got to admit i do not know much about this lodge.
On Guard. The lovely walk from West Derby Village. Yes my terrier watching everything, extremely friendly to everyone, BUT if another dog takes a snap at him doesn't matter what size, he is a terrier and goes nuts.
Croxteth Park Nobody. This was taken 2012 in May at 11 in the morning. Not possible to get this again, no dog walkers, bikes, runners, or any people at all, oh and not forgetting, this was before the kids play area.
